A championship sports game is the perfect excuse for an at-home get together with friends, family and fellow sport-lovers. Since my team has been out of the running since 2011 (dries tears), I'll have plenty of time to cook up some tasty treats for friends. My go-to recipe for any sports-related get together has to be my infamous dip. Yep, no need for a fancy name when it tastes this good. And it's incredibly simple, too!
Three main ingredients: 1. 1, 15 oz. can of chili (Like it spicy? Try the hot version. Want to save some calories? They make vegetarian and turkey varieties, too.) 2. 1, 15.5 oz. jar of your favorite salsa 3. 1, 8 oz. package of cream cheese (again, easy to substitute fat free or light to save any unwanted calories)
Four easy steps: 1. Spread the cream cheese on the bottom of a bowl 2. Add your choice of chili 3. Pour the jar of salsa on top 4. Cover with a paper plate and heat in microwave for 5 minutes
Mix, serve with tortilla chips and enjoy! This dip is always a crowd pleaser and I rarely share the ingredients, so be sure to take advantage of this super simple recipe on Super Bowl Sunday. And don't forget the hot wings; they're undeniably essential to any great football party.
