Fall TV Shows: Say, "Hello again," to your couch

Well, summer is almost over folks. But right around the corner is a brand new season of fall TV shows to look forward to! In preparation, I've devised my plan of attack comprised of new shows and the ones for which I've been patiently awaiting the return. To make it even simpler, I've gone ahead and sorted the list by days of the week for your convenience. (You're welcome!)

Mondays: Wow, there's nothing I want to watch on Mondays? I guess I'll just have to browse through my DVR and see what looks good!

Shows that'll be on my DVR: * "Parks and Recreation" (Thursdays at 9:30pm on NBC) * "Rock Center with Brian Williams" (Thursdays at 10pm on NBC) * "CBS Sunday Morning" (Sundays at 9am on CBS) - yes, I love a good news magazine. * "Revenge" (Sundays at 10pm on ABC)

(Danielle, here. I'm intervening with some of my fave Monday shows in case you don't just want to watch on a delay. "Two Broke Girls" and "How I Met Your Mother," both on CBS. TBG is bawdy and off-color so you need to appreciate raunchy humor. And HIMYM is revealing the infamous "mother" this season. Ok, we now resume your normal blog...)

Tuesdays: "Emily Owens, M.D." - Are hospitals just like high school for some doctors? They are for Emily Owens. Emily is played by Meryl Streep's daughter, Mamie Gummer. Get a sneak peek of this new show from The CW with House Party! Keep visiting to find out when applications are being accepted. Officially premieres Tuesday, Oct. 16 at 9pm on The CW.

"The Mindy Project" - I love Mindy Kaling. She's Kelly on "The Office" and she also started out writing for the show, if you didn't know. I just read her book this summer and now she finally has her own show! I'll definitely be rooting for her. Premieres Tuesday, Sept. 25 at 9:30pm on FOX.

Wednesdays: American Horror Story: Asylum - I started watching a little bit of this show and was intrigued by the premise. If you caught any of it last season, you know that it was centered on a family living in a haunted house. The second season will be a completely new setting in a different time period and a different cast! EW just released some of the promotional art, check it out here, and if you freak easily, maybe don't. Premieres Wednesday, Oct. 17 at 10pm on FX.

Thursdays: Elementary - A modern take on Sherlock Holmes. This time Watson is played by Lucy Liu and Sherlock lives in New York City. Premieres Thursday, Sept. 27 at 10pm on CBS.

Fridays: Fringe - I'm probably most excited about this show (nerd alert!). I've been watching it since the beginning and this is its final season. Given that they were able to squeeze out a final season from FOX, I hope they took the chance to give it a great ending. Premieres Friday, Sept. 28 at 9pm on FOX.

Sundays: The Walking Dead - I've watched every season and the last one ended with a cliff hanger. As the audience, you follow a group of survivors as they try to make their way to a safe spot, but you never know what waits around the bend in a Zombie apocalypse story... Premieres Sunday, Oct. 14 at 9pm on AMC.

NBC is trying really hard to find their answer to ABC's hit comedy, "Modern Family" - enter several new comedy shows about unconventional family structure. We've got "The New Normal" (Sept. 11 at 9:30pm) and "Guys with Kids" (Sept. 12 at 10pm - follows the finale of "America's Got Talent!," regular time period is scheduled for 8:30pm).

What are you looking forward to watching this fall?
