Gmail users: don't miss your chance to party!

Have you missed us? If you're a Gmail user, our emails may have been pushed out of your primary inbox and into the third, yes THIRD, tab! We want you to know where to find us, so read on! Google has recently made a change to your Gmail inbox that sorts messages into tabs (when using the desktop version): Primary, Social, Promotions, Updates and Forums. Based on Google's criteria, this means any emails sent to you by companies like House Party will automatically be placed under the Promotions tab, unless you make some adjustments.

As you know, House Party sends opportunities to host awesome parties, try new products with Chatterbox and other fun updates. Some emails (like the ones about reserving your host spot), are time sensitive, so we want to give you the info you need to keep us in your primary inbox. That way, you won't miss your chance to party!

Basically, all you have to do is drag the email into the Primary tab and confirm that all future messages should go there too. Here's a very helpful video that show's exactly how to do that:

Another way to ensure you get our emails is to add to your address book or contacts list. That way your email provider knows to put the message into the inbox and not in junk or elsewhere.

And finally, if you wish to get rid of the tabs altogether, there's a way to do that too: to go back to your old inbox style, go to the "gear" menu button (top right hand corner under your picture), select Settings > Inbox tab and pick the inbox type you want from there.

We hope this helps a bit and, of course, feel free to add any questions you have in the comments and I'll be sure to get back to you. Also, remember you can edit your email subscriptions any time on our email preference page.
